A holiday home on the Northwest Coast
Located on the Northwest coast of Denmark in Klitmøller, dubbed “Cold Hawaii” sits a vacation home inspired by the classic Danish angular farmhouse. The area which used to be an old fishing village has been transformed into one of Europe’s premier surfing and wind-surfing destinations.
Amongst the sand dunes, the property, Recharge House Klitmøller is only a few hundred meters from the North Sea near Thy National Park. Which looks like the perfect spot to unwind, disconnect and recharge. Let’s take a look!
Oriented towards the courtyard, the greenery is invited in through the large sliding glass doors making it’s way into the main house and annex of bedrooms all located under one roof. The result of the way it’s situated makes for a perfect space for socializing indoors and out and, at the same time, an opportunity to retreat to a quiet corner.
Synonymous with Danish design, the house is furnished in a minimalistic way creating space to unwind and relax after a day out at sea.
The annex of the house has two bedrooms, a toilet, and a bath. The main house with its’ open living room, dining area, and kitchen has a large skylight to the north that lets the soft light from the north into the room and at night it gives a beautiful view to the pitch-black starry sky.
At the end of the house to the south terrace, there is a wellness corner with a sauna, large open-air bathtub and outdoor shower. The entire southern side of the sauna is one large window, allowing nature in.
Sounds like a dream.
