A Perfect Danish Summer Getaway

2 mins read

If there’s anything that this pandemic has taught us is that as a family we really want to travel to Scandinavia. A beautiful summer escape to Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. It’s all a dream right now and may have to be broken up into separate mini vacations, but I think I may have found the perfect place to start; a countryside escape nestled in endless fields, forests and green gardens in Denmark.

I was excited to see this adorable new addition to the Vipp Hotel this week in my inbox. A two hour drive from Copenhagen, the Vipp Farmhouse (built in 1775), is located in Lolland, the fourth largest island of Denmark, known as the food chamber of Denmark.

With it’s whitewashed facades and a thatched roof, it’s also a perfect opportunity for a little hotel style post! It’s newly refurbished interior boasts modern era Scandinavian minalism featuring Vipp products from kitchen cabinets to bins. Combining historical charm with modern convenience, estate owner Ulrik Jorgensen and interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard have really created a little gem in the woods.

Traditional bright whites, wooden details and curious art finds are the theme throughout the house. Soft textiles add a calmness to the 3 bedroom space. A perfect getaway we say.

Let’s check it out!
